Meals
Boston Jerk and Royal Carib
If you're looking for a great Jamaican meal these are definitely contenders. Both Boston Jerk and Royal Carib have delicious Jamaican cuisine. Royal Carib is the biggest supplier of beef patties in ATL. I think that speaks for itself.
Benihanas
Benihanas is a Japanese restaurant that specializes in hibachi. They have an awesome lunch special that I’d definitely recommend.
Memories
Cascade
Cascade is a staple of Atlanta. Many of us became familiar with the skating rink after watching the 2006 hit "ATL". This is definitely a fun activity to do while you're there. Admission is between $8-$10 and skate rentals are $3. They're open Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday with each night offering something special. Wednesday and Sunday are adult night. You will find yourself skating to throwback R&B to getting down to the latest Hip-Hop out on these nights.
Range, Guns, and Safe
I think going to a gun range is something everyone should try at least once in their life. Some benefits to going to a gun range are it is a great way to practice hand eye coordination and build arm strength, and it’s a unique source of adrenaline. Watch below as I experienced my first time at a gun range.
Georgia Aquarium
Georgia Aquarium is ranked the number one aquarium in America!. The aquarium has a vast array of sea creatures that can be enjoyed by all ages. The aquarium is broken up into four sections— Tropical Dive, Ocean Voyagers, Cold Water Quest, and River Scout.
Tropical Dive is where you will see tropical sea creatures. It’s personally one of my favorites! You’ll get to see Nemo, Dori, and friends.
Ocean Voyager is a massive tank housing four whale sharks, four manta rays, and thousands of other fascinating fish. Part of this tank has a tunnel that you walk through which gives you a unique view of the aquarium from below. You also get to touch some of the sea animals here. See below!
Cold Water Quest is home of the penguins and cute little otters among many others. You will find animals that live in colder climates here.
River Scout is where you will discover a wide variety of animals found in the rivers of Africa, South America, and Asia.
Some fun in the gift shop.
Center for Civil Human Rights
This trip to Center for Civil Human Rights was culturally enriching. The historic masterpiece has put together important key moments in both civil and human rights in a fascinating interactive way. It also sheds light on injustices that still live among us in today’s society. I 100% recommend visiting the Center for Civil Human Rights no matter your race, culture, gender, or sexual orientation. The visit is a true learning opportunity.
KTX Fitness
Now I’m sure, at one point or another, you were scrolling down your time line and saw this intense, hip-hop, twerking, cycling class. Well guess what?! They have it in Atlanta! And I participated! I never did cycling before (and boy was I sore for at least 4 days after the fact) but it was soooo much fun! It’s a lot of work but because you’re having so fun, you don’t really notice. The instructor, Keith, is amazing and truly a sweet heart. He also does pop up classes in different states and countries so be sure to follow him on Instagram and Facebook @ktxfitness to see when he’s in a city near you!
Falcons Vs. Dolphins NFL Game/ Tailgate
I’m not really into sports but over the last year or so I have taken up a slight interest in football. My brother used that as an opportunity to take me to my first NFL football game and tailgate! The teams playing were Falcons Vs. Dolphins. The Falcons had an amazing lead but blew it by the third quarter.
