3 Ways to Stay Spontaneous and Motivated in The Winter

Unlimited MetroCard

I like to get my money’s worth when I purchase anything. The way I view an unlimited MetroCard is that it is only worth the cost if I'm going to use it equal to or more than the cost of the normal MetroCard. For instance, the weekly MetroCard pass is $31. The only way that weekly MetroCard would be worth buying (to me) is if I'm swiping enough fares to equal $31 or more. That is where the motivation/incentive comes in. I like to make every dollar count and therefore I tend to plan things to utilize my MetroCard to its full potential. I've gone on more outings knowing that I only used $20 worth of rides and my weekly MetroCard was going to expire in two days 😂.

Setting a daily "To Do List"

By now, you've probably gathered that I love making list lol. List allow you to visualize what it is you need to do. Crossing each task off the list is so gratifying. I feel like creating a list gives you more incentive and motivation to get things done because you want to see all your tasks accomplished and crossed out.

Read More Books

Ok, so the cold weather has gotten the best of you and you much rather not leave the house. A great alternative to sitting around or watching TV is to snuggle up with that book you've been wanting to read. Reading is a great way to stay productive. You're feeding your brain knowledge, and depending on the book, reading can even motivate you.
